Koh Kood does not have so many long beaches. There are just four longer and three shorter sandy beach spots on the western coast which are described below. Other beach locations are rather small and often part of a bungalow resort. The east coast has no sandy beaches, but brilliant clear water bays.
If you are lucky with good and calm weather conditions, you may experience real paradise fellings on Koh Kood´s beaches with clear and clean warm water, white coral sand, coconut palm trees and brilliant sunsets.
Ao Thapho (also Taphao) is the longest beach on Koh Kood. It is still a wild and natural beach since there are now only just four small bungalow resorts, three opened recently in 2015. Lots of coconut palm trees cover the beach front. In addition Shantaa Resort is located on the northern tip of the beach, hidden behind trees and the Thapho pier.
Klong Chao beach
Klong Chao beach is the finest beach on Koh Kood with four different luxury bungalow resorts. The sea is very shallow and light blue on a calm day. Big casuarina trees offer shadow till early afternoon.
Siam bay beach (Ao Bang Bao)
A small sandy beach in a stunning paradise bay with shallow, warm and turquoise colored water. Not much shadow available and four small resorts at the bay sides. The bay is also called Ao Bang Bao.
Ao Phrao beach
The big bay in the southwest is called coconut palm tree bay because there are hundreds of palm trees growing at the long and empty beach. It is still a magnificent place, where you can feel like being in paradise. Only three small resorts offer simple bungalows.
Neverland beach is a nice sandy bay north of Ao Phrao Bay. It is home of Neverland Resort, which offers some simple bungalows, a restaurant and a beach bar in the shadow of high trees. The location is very remote and difficult to get to in rainy weather conditions.
