Taling Ngam beach
Taling Ngam lays in the southwest of Samui and it is a quiet and remote place on the island with rural life, buffalos, small temples and few people. The beach is almost empty and natural. Just at the southern end are some nice resorts with modern bungalows and pools. The wunderful sunsets beyond the islands of Angthong and the group of small islets in front of the coast are very unique to Ko Samui.
There is a small road parallel to the beach that leads from Lipa ferry pier to the south, passing the long Taling Ngam beach and some other smaller bays. Few small shops and simple restaurants are worthwhile to visit, while experience the remote and quiet life of the people of Samui, living here. Its a different place on the island, where Samui is still the Samui of the past times.
