Ngapali beaches

Ngapali has four beaches: Gaw beach north of the airport, northern Ngapali beach, southern Ngapali Beach (the main beach) and Kippling bay.

The main Ngapali beach can be called one of the best beaches in south east asia. For the following reasons:

• beautiful, long, and with hundreds of coconut palmtrees
• never crowded
• clean and nearly white sand
• good restaurants
• no motor sports
• no motorcycles on the beach
• no annoying dealers
• no sand flies
• calm and nice blue sea during dry season
• perfect sunsets

Ngapali south (main) beach

The main beach is the southernmost and longest beach. Here are the most hotels and beach resorts. At the southern end are the fishing villages Lonthar and Keythaw. At the northern part some simple beach restaurants are located. They offer drinks and local unexpensive seafood. Beer and Cocktails are cheaper then in the hotel bar, and many guests come here for sunset and happy hours.

Ngapali south beach is also a good beach for runners and joggers. But its main attraction are the many coconut palmtrees under which the bungalows are hiding.

Behind the hotels and along the street some other small restaurants, shops and bicycle rentals are located.

Kippling bay

Kippling bay or Linthar bay (named after the village of Linthar) is a beautiful small sandy bay with many coconut palm trees. It is located north of the main beach and south of the Ngapali golf course.

There are only two hotels. The biggest part of the 500m long bay is still used by local people. It is a two hundred meters walk till Linthar village at the street, where shops and small restaurants are waiting for guests.

Ngapali north beach

The northern Ngapali beach begins directly south of the airport area. It is not as beautiful as the southern counterpart. There are more rocks in the sea and no restaurants at the beach. Guests here are more focused on the hotel facilities. So there are nice pools and wellness and spa offers. Beside very nice and luxury bungalows and rooms.

Gaw beach

The wild Gaw beach north of the airport is still a hideaway place with thousands of cocnut palmtrees and white sand. But in the southern part are many and huge rocks and stones in the sea, so that the access to the sea is not possible. The northern part is free of rocks and really a dream beach. Nothing else than silence and beauty. Only one luxury resort with a phantastic location and beautiful wooden bungalows offer its guests a nearly perfect holiday destination. For those who want to get away from it all for some days.
